Helpdesk

Hello,

I am using:
-StromPi v3 Rev1.1

-Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+

-RB-StromPi3_RaspberryPiOS-Bookworm-Lite-64bit_2024-10-24_shrinkedRB-StromPi3_RaspberryPiOS-Bookworm-Lite-64bit_2024-10-24_shrinked.zip, downloaded from this website

In order to maybe get StromPi v3 to work, I decided to flash firmware of StromPi v3 according to "Flash Manual" from 14.07.2020.
I am not the first person having problems with this sample of StromPi v3.

Jumpers on my StromPi v3 are set as follows:  CAP -> ON; Auto -> ON; SerialLess -> OFF; Flash -> ON. I am powering both Raspberry Pi and StromPi v3, as described in manual.
Manual says "Your StromPi is in flash mode when the blue LED lights up dimlyYour StromPi is in flash mode when the blue LED lights up dimly", however, that LED does not light up.
Also, when I try to flash StromPi v3 from Raspberry Pi, I get an error "Failed to init device, timeout."

Can I finally say that I have hardware problem, or is this combination of Raspberry Pi and OS wrong?
Forward voltage of that LED is about 0.4V and there is no current through it.

Hello Ricky,
If you followed the instructions step by step, it is most likely a hardware defect.
I would recommend returning the device to your retailer for replacement.
