is it possible to use an StromPi 3 with the Homematic board?

as I know the Homematic Board is also using the serial port of the Raspberry Pi like the StromPi3. But the serial interface in the StromPi3 can be deactivated, after you have used its serial terminal for configuration - after that it isn't blocked by the StromPi3 and the serial interface can be used like normal with other expansion boards attached to the Raspberry Pi - only the shutdown warning of the StromPi3 is sent through the serial interface.

but if I do not get the shutdown warning via the serial interface, I have no chance to react with a script on it to make a clean shutdown or something else. Is that correct? So in this case the Strompi is only a simple battery without communication interface to the pi.

one way you can include a check for a shutdown warning in the software of the Homematic - this would be the most clean way to do it in your case but I think that it also would be a little bit more of work.
We are currently on developing a firmware version for the StromPi3, where you can use a Pin with a cable to a GPIO to detect the change in the PowerPath. It should be released in the middle of next week.

but with the HM-MOD-RPI-PCB, it should work without any problems right? This modul uses the first 12 GPIO Pins only, so that GPIO 14 and 15 which are used for signaling power outages remain free. Or do I miss something here?

Unfortunately the numbering of the gpio portpins isn't in sequential order, so the Homematic Board also uses gpio 14+15 like the Strompi3 - you can see this in the pinout under the following link https://de.pinout.xyz (labeled there as BC 14 and BCM15)

Hmm, that's bad and renders the StromPi rather useless. I also didn't get the idea of the Firmware change because if the serial interface is blocked, how should this cable help? Otherwise, could it be possible that the StromPi uses a customizable GPIO port for signaling the PowerPath change while all other GPIO ports are passed through?

Im ersten Post von Jarek erklärte er, dass das Homematic Board den Serial-Port des Raspberry benutzt.
Der StromPi3 benutzt den selben Serial-Port weshalb er nach der Konfiguration im Serialless-mode betrieben werden müsste.
Dadurch würde der Serial-Port wieder zur freien Verfügung stehen um ihn mit einem Expansion Board zu nutzen.
Zusätzlich wurde auch erwähnt, dass die Shutdown Warnung dadurch nicht mehr möglich wäre, allerdings ist das inzwischen durch ein Firmwareupdate welches einem die Möglichkeit gibt Änderungen im PowerPath über GPIO-Pins auslesen zu lassen behoben.
